The Francis A. Wong Award recognizes the
participant who is selected on the basis of "promising
entrepreneurial skills as evidenced by demonstrated initiative
and leadership qualities" during his/her attendance
as a student of JAIMS.
Mr. Wong was a congressional staff member in Washington,
D.C. and served as a state senator in Hawaii for twelve years.
As president and CEO of the FAW Group, a real estate investment
company, Mr. Wong has an extensive background in law, finance,
real estate development and urban planning.
The students, faculty, and staff chose Dianawati Soetomo
to receive the award for ICMP 2006 Fall. Ms. Soetomo is from
Bali, Indonesia, and will have her name engraved on the Francis
A. Wong Award plaque, which is displayed in perpetuity at
JAIMS.
