Wendy Nakamura

Wendy Nakamura is a Leadership Development Coach and Consultant and is the founder of FORESIGHT Leadership Development, LLC.  Wendy partners with clients to help them assess and develop their leaders to ensure that they are prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.  She provides leadership coaching to emerging leaders and also helps organizations implement effective succession management systems.

She has worked with clients from diverse industries, including healthcare, high-tech and engineering, hospitality, insurance and financial services,  manufacturing; as well as with education and non-profit organizations.

Wendy’s prior experience includes leading a global leadership development practice for a Fortune 100 company.  She also has over fifteen years of leadership experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development with manufacturing and high-tech companies. 
Raised in Hawaii, and living and working on the mainland for many years, Wendy has a unique perspective and approach which blends island and mainland culture and practices.
Wendy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Hawaii and a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication/Development from Purdue University.
Wendy is active in several professional organizations, including the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association, Organizational Development Network, Society for Human Resources Management, and American Society for Training and Development.
She also serves the community through the Young Business Council, United Way, Hawaii Nature Center, and Make a Wish Foundation.
